Russian diplomacy in the hands of extremists and separatists

In the latest political project by former Russian ambassador to Bosnia Ivanckov (who was a long-standing source of destabilization in Bosnia and Herzegovina), Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov visited political extremists led by Serbian extremist Milorad Dodik and pro-Serbian academic Dragan Covic. The visit was marked by a multitude of political and diplomatic scandals, which confirmed the involvement of Russian politics in the destabilization of the Western Balkans.

In violation of diplomatic protocols and the culture of political action, Foreign Minister Lavrov got involved in several extremist and separatist protocols, thereby provoking instability in the Balkans and particularly in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Through several violations of the Dayton agreement and the humiliation of the state sovereignty of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Russian Federation has sided with anti-civilization norms and officially positioned itself as logistics for separatists and genocide deniers.

As a result, the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina (Mr. Komšić and Mr. Džaferović) refused to meet with the protagonists of the extremist organization and the Russian delegation.

Time will tell whether Milorad Dodik and Dragan Covic will bear the sanctions for such an unprecedented international scandal.

In any case, the political isolation of the two, the withdrawal of privileges by the state and the budget in Bosnia and Herzegovina would be the smallest step towards stabilizing the situation in the Balkans.

In this sense, the responsible international organizations, in particular the EU and the USA, as well as institutions in Bosnia-Herzegovina should prohibit the use of official state premises (such as the state presidency building of Bosnia in Sarajevo) for extremist organizations in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
